WHO TEACHES WITH US?
MEET JULIAN RIZZUTO
Owner of Fly Time Guide Service, LLC: NH Fly Fishing Guide, Northern Water Guide Fly Fishing School Instructor.
“Born and raised in the Granite State, I was introduced to fishing by my Uncle at a very young age. A rod, a reel, a bobber, and a worm started this whole mess, but once I got my first trout on a fly rod the rest was history. Since then my passion for fly fishing has taken me to the rivers, lakes and ponds across the state of New Hampshire. learning the various techniques by means of trial and error, tips and advice from local fly shops, and hitting the water with local guides.
Over the years as I’ve learned and honed my skills, I discovered not only do I have a love for this sport, I also have a love for sharing and teaching this sport to others. To me there’s nothing better than watching someone put their first fish in the net and no matter how many times I see it, it never gets old.
This passion has led me to where I am today. In the spring of 2023 I became a licensed guide for the state of New Hampshire, offering wade trips up in the north country on the headwaters and tributaries of the Connecticut river. I’ve also been granted the privilege of being an instructor for the Northern Water Guide Fly Fishing School.
I hope that one day our paths cross on the river, and that I get to share with you what has brought me so much joy. Tight lines!”
MEET NICOLE VASSAR
“With decades of experience exploring New Hampshire’s rivers and mountains, I am passionate about outdoor adventure and sharing the experience with others. I started fly fishing in 2021, and the first fish I caught was a small wild brookie with a fly tied by a friend. It was like a jewel plucked out of the river. After that, I started to realize the places I love to mountain bike, are often great fisheries and I started bringing a rod along. Not too much later, instead of bringing a rod on my bike trip – I was bringing a bike on my fishing trips. I love everything about fly fishing – hiking through the woods, tying and choosing the right fly, setting up the line and leader, casting techniques, tactics, and feeling or seeing that initial tug. And of course it’s always great to get the fish in the net! I’m also passionate about conservation and education. As a licensed NH Fishing guide, I am committed to sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for the outdoors, ensuring a rewarding, safe and memorable experience.”
